No one should have a boyfriend if they don't want one. It might seem a little weird to the 16-year-old girls who do have boyfriends, but their opinions don't matter. If you're 16 and happy to be single, hats off to you. I'm 17, single, and loving life. Boyfriends are useless to me.

its not odd if they dont. I didnt date anyone till after highschool really. I had a boyfriend for a little bit when I was 16- but it was puppy love and ended shortly... emotions stir way to much at this age. some girls think that its a popularity thing to have a bf and date constatly.. but truthfully.. it Cause drama...and everyone knows.. 16 year old girls... are full of that already. So no, its not odd, but it helps a girl to cope with the teenage hood.

Girls who are 16 should not have boyfriends. You should date and not get too serious with one guy. I don't think its odd if a girl doesn't have a boyfriend at that age I don't think it is a bad reflection of the girl. At 16 you should be focused on doing well in school and what college you plan on going too, not a boyfriend.

It is o-k to have a bf at 16 but completely unnecessary. You have your whole life ahead of you. You should be planning your career at this time. A relationship will only hinder this. You will have plenty of time to find a mate once you are financially stable. Taking care of your career first will make a future relationship more stable. Oh and by the way, accept no less from a mate. "Ya gotta have a J O B if ya wanna be with me."

girls do have boyfriends at 16, its not very odd, and some should have them and some shouldn't depending on the person and it's not odd if a girl who is 16 doesn't have a boyfriend, it's perfectly fine.

It's really up to the person! If you don't have one thats not odd at all. Many people this age are busy with other things. If you do have one there isn't anything wrong with that either. Just don't get so wrapped up in it that you lose track of where you are going and who you are!

I think so. Who says you can't? However, you shouldn't marry someone at that age, because that is something that should come later down the road. Keep that in mind. But if you are 16 and you wan't to have a boyfriend, then go ahead. I don't really think that there is a starting age.

i had my 1st real bf when i 9 but hey 16 works 2. And no it is not weird if u don't have 1 i mean i think that a having bf should be because u like them not because people think that u should hav 1.

a relationship is not right for all 16 yr olds. i think in most cases, 16 yr olds get into relationships with the wrong type of people for the wrong reasons..
most relationships involving 16 yr olds don't last very long..
but on the other hand, it's a good experience to date. it will help you grow and develop your social skills as well as emotional self.
don't date just for the sake of dating. make sure it is something you really want to do, and make sure it is with a guy that fits your wants and needs..

16 is an appropriate age for a bf. and no if they dont have one its not odd....sometimes its just not the right time for them, or the might not have found anyone
