Depends on what war you'r in.The bloodyer the war the more privilege's you have. And if you got hirt or (disabled) It's like if your working on a job and you loose a finger or maybe a arm. Their insurance will classify 0 to 10 disability and you'll get so much money. If you did your time and didn't get hirt you can still go to a VA hospital. You'll have topay some out of your pocket but it's not bad and thay have the best Doc's

It depends on if you are still active or out also what you are there for, or if you have a disability rating. You can be seen for a documented rated disability for the rest of your life. However you need to have a high disability rating to be seen any time for anything. So in actuality you would have to go in and talk to a social worker at the hospital and find out if you need to pay for your visits or not. My husband was 100% disabled when he died. He could be treated anywhere for anything. Me being the widow if I never remarry get what is called champ VA, it pays 75% up to the first 3000. cap. after that they pay for everything. I get my meds by mail so that helps . but that 25% can get to a couple hundred a month very easily until I hit my cap. but hey I'm greaful for what I get.

Not nearly enough, in the opinion of most veterans. The VA (or DVA) has to prioritize patients because of limited resources, with service-connected injuries and/or disabilities coming in first, which seems only proper.
Some people with plenty of money use the VA - and pay for it - because all their records are immediately available everywhere there is a VA facility.

technically you are not a veteran til you are honorably discharged. returning soldiers have full coverage medical, all expenses paid for physical and mental ailments. the problem is getting a military doctor to listen to you and not think that you are faking something or for them to do their job and find out what is wrong.

returning soldiers are still in the military unless they choose to leave the military.
If they retire, they have Tri-Care Insurance which is great.
