I' m going to make a guess that its a sckipperke, Pronounced skip-er-key. Don't buy the dog from the pet store. Most likely the dog is from a puppy mill and buying it will only support the production of more puppy mill puppy's. I would protest your pet store for selling dogs. Don't buy the dog because you pity the fact that it was from a puppy mill. Make a point to your pet store that you don't want them to support an immoral business. Suggest to you pet store that they give out breeder referrals. If you like this dog figure out what it is, and try and find a responsible breeder in your area. Plus don't just buy on appearance, figure out the personality that you like and buy on those premises.

I tend to agree with the general consensus about not buying animals from a pet store, and for the reasons cited. Also about the importance of knowing the individual dog's temperment, rather than just the breed's strong tendencies. Not to be ignored is your own temperment & lifestyle. Did you know that No-kill shelters take great pains to make successful matches between dogs & owners, plus they usually really work with --& get to know well-- the animals in their care. So I'd recommend you doing a search for the ones in your area. They often have pictures & info of the dogs currently availabel on their Web site, as well.

thanks for no longer thinking a "maltipoo". they're mutts.. that are overpriced and badly bred, as you comprehend.. there are an excellent type of small breeds that are black. i imagine you should flow to a guard and seek for a canines you want. that is an outstanding theory in case you question me, because there are diverse small mixes. there is lots to make your concepts up on from and also you'd be saving a life. So yeah. I say browse a guard. upload: i do not advise to be an a$$ yet imagine of this.. what about the undesirable genes in Maltese? ought to those be bred out each of ways? No.. neither ought to the poodle's undesirable genes. particular, some ought to no longer ensue. yet that occurs in organic bred canines too. some undesirable genes ought to ensue, some wont. Breeding blended canines wont substitute that in any respect and an outstanding, respected breeder, would not make extra mutts. No i do not hate mutts. I do exactly not trust human beings breeding them.

why not ask the source....the pet store that has the dog!! But, you should really reconsider buying a dog from a pet store...way too expensive and usually very unhealthy dogs that will end up costing you a lot more money when they end up being sick and sometimes dying after you get them home. Go to the pound or a reputable breeder in your area.

If I can just say one thing.... you would be much better off in the long run getting your dog (pure bred or not) that does look similar or not to the one you found in a pet store at a breeder or a shelter. Most of those dogs, even from well reputable companies come from puppy mills.

Maybe you should try to decide on what kind of temperment you're looking for in a dog, before looking at appearances.

please don't buy from them.

I purchased a bird from them which they said had an injury... took her to a vet and she said it was a fungus. It should have been cured months before! They know nothing and have no personal accountability. Don't support their practices please.

Rescue societies abound, do a search in your area.
