It's safe if done properly and by a professional. Make sure you listen and follow the skin technician's aftercare advice and don't go into the sun without a good SPF afterwards. Also, they'll start your peel with a lower concentration first and build up from there during the next few peels.

It may sting a bit, turn your skin red or feel like a sunburn after you get the peel but the professional should give you all the information on that beforehand. :)

If you're young and you don't have a skin problem I wouldn't do it. If you are going to a dermatologist and doctor is recommending this for you, then it should be beneficial. As a general question without any further info, it's not easy to answer. I have normal skin and am in my 40's and I wouldn't do it, since I am not suffering any skin problems.

it is normally considered a quick and easy alternative to surgery, but there are a lot of risks, no matter wot the doctor says! i knew a lady who went in for it but they said the tingling feeling was normal, now she has third degree burns!!!
