I had 2 meals today is that enough? I only had cereal and peanut butter and jelly sandwhich. is that enough to eat today for me?

You should eat 3 meals in a day. How big they are depends on your apetite.

Are you serious! If you truly want to shut down your metabolic rate, keep on eating the way you are. The best way to stay healthy and keep your blood glucose and metabolism healthy is to eat 6 small meals a day, like a healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner and snacks in between (3) like fruit, crackers w/peanut butter or cheese, yogurt, nuts, small bowl of cereal i.e. Special K or Total, Cheerios, etc. This is especially good if you also need to lose weight. It's been working for me because since you don't allow yourself to get overly hungry you have less chances to overindulge in junk food. Remember, eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper and you will be healthy.

You got a little bit of protein and maybe some grains if the cereal and bread weren't over-processed, but you haven't had any fruit or vegetables. (If you call jelly a fruit, I'll come over there!) You need 6 small meals a day, though your parents may try to make you eat 3 big ones instead.

Eating too little slows your metabolism down..will make you gain weight & keep on weight if you are trying to lose.
5 or 6 small meals are what keeps our Blood Sugar & Metabolism up are optimum levels.
I am not talking about 5 or 6 set down meals, but meals with decent snacks in between, eatting every 2 to 3 hours.

i'd say you should eat around 6small meals in a day. this keeps your metabolism going. if you only ate 2meals as a way to diet, you should really eat more regularly so that your metabolism will not slow down, therefore forcing you to store what you are eating.

if you're asking because that's all the food you're able to get right now, then sure. you aren't going to die by having 2meals in a day. just dont keep it up.

plus, try to get more (or at least SOME) vegetables in your diet. generally the more colourful they are, the more vitamins they have, and therefore the better for you. so bland things like breads, potatos etc aren't as nutritious as tomatoes, leafy greens, fruits etc.

well it depends if your trying to gain,lose, or keep you weight as is. if you want to lose weight, you can eat like 7 small meals a day, i dont know how that helpe lose weight but people say it alot.
