Pick up a magazine about hairstyles, and find a hairstyle similar in the magazine. It will list the directions to do it. My best guess is start with dirty hair - don't wash it the day you plan on doing your hair like this. Spray a texturizer spray on it, pin it up and use your hairdryer with a large round brush to add volume to each section while using some type of styling aid; since your hair will already be dry. Before you do this, you may want to turn your head over and spray with a good hairspray and blow dry, again this is to add volume. Then use a large curling iron 1-1/2 to 2 inches and curl only as high as you want the curls. It looks like they curled her hair away from her face. Tip, do a wrap around curl: pull a section of hair away from head and put the curling iron under the highest part you want the curl to come, then, with your fingers, wrap the hair around the curling iron. You can also use the curling iron on the top to get that fullness. Also, they probably used a flexible hairspray on her hair.

Get a medium barrel curling iron, and spiral medium pieces of hair. When u spiral it do it backwards, meaning away from your face. But do not spiral it tight so it can flow like in the picture.

Ask your stylist to cut your hair in layers, framing your face, and ask for caramel highlights. Make sure she is a good dyist though or the highlights may look chunky, fake, and basically bad. Also, bring in the picture for her to follow.
