We have fuel to the injection manifold and we have spark to the spark plugs but the plugs are getting real wet and the engine will not fire up. Is it a possiblity that the engine is getting flooded bu the injectors staying open? How would be correct the problem?

No car will run without a timing belt or timing chain. It is not a 2 cycle engine. Saab used to make a 2 cycle car engine a long, long time ago, but not Ford. Get an OBD2 check done to see what parts are not functioning. It the timing belt broke, there would have been a sharp knocking and then no running. When youmtry to start it it will spin much faster than usual because most of the compression is gone. Bad luck. Get a mechanic to look at it.

if your getting fuel to the plugs and the plugs are firing but it wont run you may have so much buildup in the passageways to the cumbustion chamber that the fuel vapors are absorbed, then it wont fire and gets flooded. have you tried using ether before anything else? let it sit overnight then give it a squirt of ether before you make the first attempt at starting. if it only burns a few revs then dies youve got more of a problem than that. if that starts it and it runs untill you shut it down then doesnt restart after that post a new question tomorrow

Please check to see whether or not the timing belt is intact, first. Contours are known for the belt to go out right on time.
