yes-you can drink wine even after 30 minutes after taking advil. It's not recommended that you abuse alcohol. It is the asprin which is contra indicated with alcohol consumption. Bad for your liver and thins your blood.

After 4 hours, you have metabolized at least 25% of the Advil.
Contrary to another answer in this thread, advil does affect the liver as does alcohol. A glass or two of wine should not be a problem though, but I would not drink so much that you start feeling "tipsy" when taking any medicene.

Advil is a pain killer, (I am presuming you took it for a head pain) after four hours your body has nearly completely absorbed it, you can now safely drink a glas of wine, as long as you don't overdo...
One fair sized glass (or 2 small ones) won't hurt you, especially if you enjoy it with a good meal...more would probably make your headache return...and you would need another Advil afterwards!

If you have a migraine this bad you need to go to the hospital. They have a certain pill to give you that will stop it almost immediately. Just the fact that you are throwing up 4 times over it is a good reason to go to the hospital. But don't think you're a freak or anything. Most migraines will cause nausea and vomiting. But since it's ur first time with a bad one and you can't keep meds down I would go to the ER Hope I helped

As long as you have eaten well you will be fine. This is rule if you take daily pills followed by alcohol, but hey every now and then your head may hurt before a night out, and its fine to pop 2 pills and then eat and drink some some hours after.
