When you first start liking girls and wanting to go out with them, you and your friends should always talk about this scenario. The general rule of thumb between friends is that if you and your friend like the same person, that person is off-limits. Friendship is SO much more important than a girl, because girls come and go. True friends stick together always.

Well.... does the girl like you or him? You could have a strong connection if you both liked her... lol, you could talk about her with each other, and if you are REALLY good friends, then your freindship shouldn't be ruined over a girl. You shouldn't hurt your friend... but you have the right to like the girl. Good luck!
Just remember..... that girls come and go, but real good friendships stay for a LONG time. You need to see what matters to you more.

no you shouldn't hurt your friend. because if you get with her and your friend like her and the girl dump you, you will need your friend to cheer you up. don't let a girl come between your friendship. that girl can leave you but a true friend is there until the end

dont let a girl come between a friendship. its not worth it. does he know that you like her too? does she like either of you? talk to him and tell him that you like her as well, but wouldnt want to do anything to hurt him or mess up your friendship bc that more important to you than some girl. ask him if it would bother him a lot or mess things up between you if you dated her. but she may not be attracted to you...what if she likes him? how will you react? does she have any cute friends? its always fun to have group dates.

I'm in the 7th to. and it happend with 2 of my best friends my one friend liked this boy and her friend (my other bestfriend) knew and even though she knew she got him him first and my other friend got over it...eventually
