I want to be able to sing vibrato, but I just can't. I don't want to take any lessons though. I'm 13 years old. Does my singing voice have to mature a little, or can I learn right now?
And does anyone ever think about the fact that Lebo M's voice doesn't have any vibrato in it? That's weird.

I don't believe it's healthy to develop a vibrato on your own. It's better if you let it natrually come because you could end up pushing your sound just so you can have the vibrato and it could sound nasty.

Also, I think vibrato comes in when your voice starts to mature more, maybe? Plus, you should enjoy singing without having to control a vibrato, cause when you get older it'll get harder and harder.

Good luck with that! :]

I guess you can learn vibrato but most people are usually just able to do it naturally and then work to make it sound better. It is desirable to be able to sing with and without vibrato according to the type of music you are performing. If you push yourself to do vibrato too fast and too soon you may regret it later on when you are unable to control it. When a singer has this kind of vibrato it is referred to as a warble. You don't want this to happen.

There are 2 diverse techniques you ought to use to get vibrato. the 1st could be to softly shake your trumpet once you're enjoying. not a shake like in jazz music, yet an rather easy one just to somewhat regulate the pitch backward and forward. the 2d is larger for my area, whether it may be tougher based on the ability of your embouchure. mutually as enjoying, flow your backside lip up and down somewhat. try asserting "mama-" this is such as that style of stream, yet of course not as severe. be certain you pay attention to vibrato, it is going to assist you to understand while to apply it and how lots to apply. wish this helps!
