1. You go to your doctor, get a physical, and ask him/her for tips.

2. Then speak with a dietitian and tell him/her to evaluate your eating habits and get them to design a meal plan.

3. Go to a gym that gives you a personal trainer for at least 3 occasions. Ask a lot of questions.

Thats it. This is how you will know for sure.

Please do not fall for ANY ADVERTISED DIETS that promise you ANYTHING. If they promise weight loss to you, they are LYING.

Hard breathing even when your not sleep. Shortness of breath when doing simple things such as household cleaning. When your knees and back start to hurt,If you have a big stomach when you sit down your stomach will push up against your lungs causing them to hurt. Cronic headaches that might be due to high blood pressure or cholesterol or something also playing a role in being out of shape.

Signs for me personally were, I was getting out of breath just going up a flight of stairs. Or I couldn't keep up with my boyfriend while playing basketball, or I'd have to suck my gut in to fit into most of my clothes. And I wasn't too overweight; 162 lbs in a 5'6 frame. But you sound like you're doing pretty well, I wouldn't worry about it.

First, go talk to your doctor about what he/she suggests. Then, speak with a dietitian about your eating habits and take a fitness test to find out what areas your body is out of shape.

The only way to know for sure is to take a fitness test. Also, blood pressure is a good indicator.
