Lets face it, its easier to count what America has done right, rather than what theyve done wrong.

From Bush to Rumsfeld. Then onto the generals in the field. I dont think anyone can particularly hold their head high in the last 5 years. Do you think America is going to have to start building bridges to repair its international reputation since the general opinion even amongst its allies (Britain included) is that America has generally made a mess of it.

I see you have already made up your mind, so this answer won't be a candidate for the best one.

My answer is, Absolutely Not ! Quite to the contrary.....

We turned a blind eye to these Islamic dirt bags for many years while they perpetrated acts of war against Americans all over the globe and indiscriminately murdered thousands of innocent men, women and children. The events of 9/11, and with an administration with some gonads, we FINALLY responded.

The message to the rest of the world should be crystal clear - if you plan on flying airplanes into buildings, best to do it in France or Spain and stay the hell out of the United States.

That is what is so great about this country, you can freely ask questions like this without being sought out and put in prison. At the same time when you do ask something like this you must prepare for the backlash. Personally I believe we should no longer go overseas to fight a war for people that they themselves don't have the nerve to fight. I believe if we go to war, we do our job and decimate the enemy and the hell with rebuilding. Did the Japanese rebuild Pearl Harbor after they destroyedd it? Did the Germans rebuild all the countries they destroye? This list goes on. Those of you that have all the negative memorized need to take time to look at the good as well. The international community turned it's back on us as well, they have noticed we are weak and they are pushing back against us. We must worry more about nationalism before internationalism.

If we would of fought it like a war at the beginning instead of worrying about civilian deaths we could of been coming home by now.
(1) All those Iraqi fighters threw their uniforms and donned civilian clothing but didn't lay down their weapons - but no uniforms = they became innocent. To this day they hunt us at night and we throw candy at them in the daytime. All to win the hearts.
NO SENSE AT ALL - IT IS BS.
(2) Then all the BS about the Iraqis storing weapons in the mosques - can't touch those or even search a mosque. But check the media reports now and the different sects are blowing up mosques or shell them with mortars , but that's okay coz their Muslim.

This war was handled with kid gloves to make everyone happy but the troops that were/are being shot at and killed. If we worried more about winning and less about our Allies and the liberals it would be over and we would be home.

I doubt of anything "forever", but the damage to US reputation all over the world is very deep. Irak is an incredible mess, the fact that nobody never understood really the purpose of this war, the weekly horrors there, the impact of the incredible and disgusting Abu Grahib pics etc etc...this war is just indecent.

I think US reputation is destroyed by this indecency for years.

The rest of the world turns a blind eye to terroists, we also turned a blind eye since the 90's. If we would of gotten rid of bin laden one of the 3 times Clintion could of we wouldn't be in this mess. We would instead be focusing on the genocide in Africa and Aids. We also would of had one of the best economies ever.

Why do you pople that are so uninformed think of that President Bush is waging this conflict against terrorism for the period of himself. observe I pronounced "conflict against terrorism". Sadam Hussien killed harmless peoples because of the fact they have been diverse from himself. They weren't attempting to overthrow any duly elected officers of a constitutionally well-known government. Sadam Hussien is a mass assassin. George Bush is a duly elected chief of the final democracy the international has ever prevalent. as quickly as we elected him it substitute into with the burden that he could look after the form of the united states of a. something much less could be malfeasance of workplace. that's what's occurring in Afghanistan and Iraq, we are protecting the form of the united states of yank and those helpful freedoms we savor. No, because the propaganda and hatred of the USA is consistent, they envy us, want to be like us, but imagine that we have streets paved with gold, live a life of luxury and are the reason they live in poverty, when it's actually the failure of their own leaders. We give them humanitarian aid, and their government officials take the credit for distributing it. They vote against us in the UN, criticize us, hate us, demand our money, and hate us for not giving more. They didn't take Clinton or Carter seriously but as long as they got what they wanted from them they didn't care. We need to take care of our own people first instead of giving handouts to countries that aren't going to like us or vote with us at the UN. When all levels of our society are prospering then we can afford to be generous with foreign aid.

No, because the world will soon realize that the "mess" we made is for their own safety. If you ask me the rest of the world should be kissing our asses for making it safer.
