When my husband first had our house built he put a separate bath house in the back that is detached from the rest of the house. Its almost like a mini swimming pool and it even can be heated. Basically it was only meant for women to use and the primary reason was to use it for our ritual baths before sundown if we become unclean for whatever reasons or when are period is over. Me and my mother have used it quite frequently. Right now my mother and many relatives are staying with us for Thanksgiving. Well, today, after me and my mom came back from pottery we wanted to take a break before making dinner so me, her, my new best friend Jessica, sister, and my grandmother all went out the bath house to relax and "get away" for a few minutes. We invited the other adult women but they looked at us strange. When we finished up my little niece came up to me and said that some of the women were saying we were "really messed up" for bathing together. It made me cry. How was this wrong?

Was that the same niece, you know, the 11 year old, that you wanted to take a bath with in one of your earlier fantasy questions, but your mother said it was a bad idea? Remember, your Mom said she thinks this might not be a good idea because it might seem inappropriate now. Your poor mother, she can't seem to keep things straight.

It's no different then women having a sauna together or shower at a gym. So do not be upset that the other women find it hard as they appear pretty closed minded and were probably thinking that there was some sort of sexual meaning to it, when it sounds like it was an innocent bath.

Well I noticed that you had claimed the bath house was intended for cleanliness, and therapeutic reasons... if people have a problem with that then that's their own opinion, more room for the rest of you is the way I see it. You shouldn't be bothered by that. It is simply a way for you, and whoever else wants to be included to relax, and if people don't want to be included in that then so be it.

It very much depends on the culture. In some cultures, this is normal, in most western cultures, it is considered incredibly strange.

If all of you are together like sitting together in a jacuzzi pool,i don't see anything wrong with that, unless all of you are not covered. However,i knew different races have different rituals. If what you do is not against your rules, just ignore them and don't fuss over it.

Family rituals are not always excepted by other people. I don't think anything you did was strange or wrong. The women are just judgmental and not comfortable with their sexuality.
