Come on. For God sake. Why is it that they cannot think of anything else. 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, that's way too young to be thinking on having boyfriends and dating. You should be thinking about school, going to college, work, make something important of your beautiful self. Life is just not GUYS. WHAT'S WRONG WITH AMERICA??? there's a time for everything in life. And then you hear about teen mums, single mums, abortions, adoptions of kids from teen mums, girls depressed because of their bf, crying all the time, wasting their time suffering for a guy who at the end they won't even remember his name. Stop thinking about guys and having bf and meeting guys online. Enjoy your life. There's a time everything and everybody. why don't you think of yourself first.

While I'm the first person to be annoyed with young girls and their really horrid stupidity, I feel the need to take up for them on this one. I am a completely stable, well-adjusted, college-educated professional. But I was boy crazy when I was young too. You can't ignore the science behind the phenomenon. Puberty loads up both sexes with hormones, and those pretty much control every thought that pops into a teenager's brain. If you know of any 12 year old boys who AREN'T masturbating thrice daily to the JC Penney's lingerie section, it's probably due to some sort of psychological problem that hasn't been discovered yet. The same can be said of girls- they think about boys ALL the time. They think about what their first kiss will be like, they think about what slow dancing with their crush will be like, and they analyze every single conversation they've ever had with a guy over and over again (that's not even counting the pretend conversations they have in their rooms when they're listening to Jo Jo sing about heartache). It's just what they do.
As for worrying about college at the age of 12- a bit over the top. They need to worry about doing well in their current classes. Sixteen is a good time to START thinking about college and work, but that doesn't mean their thoughts should be consumed with these thoughts. They'll go through a quarter-life crisis about it in 10 years anyway.
Kids want to grow up to be adults. Now that you're an adult, you want to go back and be a kid again. It ticks you off that "youth is wasted on the young," and you're venting. And that's cool. We understand. :)

It is normal and has always been normal I am 52 and we were boy crazy the only difference is we did not date before we were 16 and did not have sex at a young age. We did go around with our girl friends and say oh he is sooo cute. Lighten up not all kids are out there having sex. It is a parents job to know where the kids are but it is sad that most parents are out working to put food on the table. Now if you could, would you donate some of your time with these kids and help our kids and our country out

That is because Americas divorce rate is at 50% plus depending on what day it is.. and obviously children come from broken homes. Many girls think if they devote their lives to some guy that he will "always love them". They tend to overlook life itself. They think they have no Independence it is almost like they need someone with a penis to determine who they are. Personally, I think it has a lot to do with the media and the music video presentation constantly bombarding us with " crying over you videos" and "pimp daddy's with their 15 anorexic sluts" and so forth.. It is almost like they are controlling our opinions thru subliminal messages. If America was so addicted to the boob tube and the who's-who and actually took time to appreciate their own world and surrounding we would all be better off.

If you ask me it all goes back to the parents.Parents in my family constantly speak about how they used to run around with guys and who they had sex with. They even speak about who they have sex with currently and how.The kids hear it and think its something big to be doing. If al lot of adults werent that open about it and especially on t.v. then I dont think teens would be doing it as much.If most adults focused on other things than I think the teens would too.Dont get me wrong im not saying every adult does this but I hear a lot that do.

Here's your Best Answer- It's just simply the Birds and the Bees. Boys at that age are just one big Hormone, and it's natural to be attracted to girls, and for girls to think about boys too.

How old are you? can you honestly say that when you were that age all you were focused on was school and college and not girls, or boys which ever your into. Don't be so quick to judge others or try to control people when you were very much the same at one point.

You think 16 is way too young to be dating? What cave did you crawl out of?
Sexuality is a healthy part of life. Deal with it.
