If a guys hits your g/f and she goes to hit him back would you hold her back and tell her to calm down?? If, not what would you do?? Would you stick up for her or your friend??
What if it was all cuz she beat him at what he considered his thing??(she races cars and beat him)
the guy is ur friend
would he still be your friend after??
Would you tell her not to hit him or let her react as she wanted??

okay that whole thing is really confusing...cut out the "what ifs" and tell us the real story. u will prob get more help that way.
im basically getting that a guy hit your girlfriend and he is your friend? to answer that, the guy would be a deadman...
anyway, its never right for a girl or a guy to hit each other in a relationship. both of it is unhealthy. also, were the people drunk or under the influence of anything?
i would stick up for the girl because he may be your friend, but u need to do what you think is right.

I would stick up for your girlfriend but not let her hit back. He shouldn't have hit her unless his life was "somehow" on the line.
Your second point justifies my previous answer.
A guy is a guy. Refer to first answer.
Yes, if he is normal, he will understand and forget. If not, he isn't even worth hanging around.
Stop both of them. If either takes another hit/punch, it will somehow result in "your fault". No idea why, but always seems to happen that way.
He got pissed because he forgot that he was a guy, and her a girl. It seems he mentally turned back into a child and simply had childish acts of violence from losing.

If a guy hit my gf then yes I would hold her back from hitting him,but then I would take him out...Friend or no friend, no one hits my girl,period...If you let this happen and did nothing, you are a waste of human flesh and I am ashamed to be associated with you as a male...If your friend is more important then your girl, then maybe you should be dating him...There is no reason for any man to hit a woman,especially during competition...Not only am I ashamed to have you classed with me your friend should be removed from the male gender as well...I hope your girl friend wakes up and finds a real guy to defend or stick up for her no matter what...Geeeesssss

He might not be your friend afterward but would you really want an abusive man as your friend anyway?

OMG, please tell me that inside yourself, you know in your heart the answer! Because NO he would not still be my friend, nor would I hold my g/f back from protecting herself! She HAS to b able to protect herself from abuse, and that's exactly what that was! Regardless of the provocation, (her beating him @ racing) his reaction was TOTALY inexcusable. A guy (or a girl for that matter) should never hit someone, unless it is in self deffence. And yeah, I think you shouldve stood up for her , after she handled it. Suported her, and immediatly told your friend that he is a childish tard, who might very well b jealous of your relationship with your girlfriend!! Good luck hun, I hope Ive helped!

If we are talking about a playfull punch to the arm then by all means she should hit him back, but if this is some out of control guy who has actually hurt someone and they have reason to believe he is out of control, then the cops should be called, and the friendship should be over.
