I'm a Muslim too and I have a lot of Christian friends. I would say that I admire their strong faith and their solidarity.

Do you mean the faith, or the people who follow said faith? There's a huge difference.

The best part of the religion itself, to my mind, is that it really does teach good concepts - forgiveness, peace, love, happiness. Just what most religions preach, really. Now if only all the followers could realize that.

As far as the people who worship go, I suppose the best thing to say about Christians as a whole is that most of them really DO go through life following those ideas of kindness and acceptance, and only a small portion are dangerous fanatics. The same could be said of any religion, but, well, the fanatics are LOUD while the good Christians just go through life being decent people. I'd have to say that I admire their ability to believe and keep believing, despite everything that says they are wrong, and in spite of the idiots who give their whole religion a bad name through childish acts and words.

I have known many people of many different religions and find
that none have any understanding of what they believe - they
just parrot what they have heard from other parrots. Like an
answerer before me, I admire honorable people and I dont care
what religion that they claim to belong to. Having said that -
many religious groups endeavor to do some good for their
communities, but their idealogy is severly flawed.

i'm a Pagan and a Wiccan. i'm additionally a minister and a former Christian. My reason of leaving is very with regards to the problems I see with the Christian faith. I see that Christianity is in step with a set of books that have been chosen in a fashion which isn't with out a minimum of an portion of an arbitrary nature. there grew to become into plenty written approximately Christ that grew to become into not secure in the canon of scripture and it variety of feels that what grew to become into chosen grew to become into chosen to enhance a undeniable set of ideals; people who held option ideals have been dealt with extremely harshly in circumstances previous. mutually as the severity of those attitudes has replaced by way of the years, the attitudes themselves have not. human beings of alternative faiths are seen heretics who're greatest others off course. they're seen, at superb, unwitting servants of the devil. Too, Christians are taught an unfalsifiable faith. Any stable that would ensue is presented as info of the life of God. something that would look opposite is taught to be the two human loss of wisdom or the artwork of the devil. it extremely is a equipment that defines itself and helps no contradiction. a guy or woman claiming to have opposite info is a guy or woman to be prevented. this would not sell wholesome intense questioning. what's even stranger is that the religion that behaves in this way is an analogous that ridicules different religions, including neo-paganism and Wicca as mere innovations. I understand the super fee. I understand the desire to serve god and proceed to be steadfast. what's troubling is the seeming desire to do away with different faiths. mutually as Christians won't openly state this want, the mere life of missionaries and evangelism makes this extremely obvious. mutually as Wicca, maximum of Paganism and a great variety of alternative faiths advance via in basic terms being what they're and training people who surprisingly ask, many Christians actively pursue others. some bypass so some distance as to bypass into undesirable aspects with the grant of foodstuff, the fee of that's indoctrination. those comparable human beings admonish against even staggering the understanding of alternative faiths. besides, that's the fast version of the story. advantages, --Dee

When I find people who actually live their faith and "walk the talk" in order to live their lives to their best ability, I respect and admire that. I've known a couple who were very devout Christians, and used Christianity to guide their actions and lives, but instead of TALKING all the time about how they were doing things "God's way" and how they were "such good Christians", they simply DID IT.

I have great admiration for Jesus' teachings and his morals. I think more Christians should follow them, unfortunately, they follow Paul's interpretations of them and make Jesus into a god instead of a philosopher.

I like Thomas Jefferson's idea, printing a new book with Jesus' teachings and removing the rest.

I admire their beautiful churches and their grant of acceptability from the rest of the world. I admire that they don't have to prove what they believe to others, that they are not considered evil and that they can worship where ever they want without being criticized about it. I also admire their ability to blindly follow what cannot be proven and to accept it without question. Must be nice.
