I can't understand how the cat can be trained to use the toilet, but people can't be trained to put the toilet paper on the toilet paper holder. How do I accomplish this?

Ha!! It's like that in my house! I figure they must be intimidated by the complexity of it all...like they have to be a genius to put the assembly together.

I'd rather have a family that forgets go put toilet paper on the roll holder than a cat who doesn't know how to flush

Take your own roll of toilet paper into the bathroom with you. When the toilet paper roll is empty, pretend you don't see it. Let them figure out a way to supply themselves with toilet paper.

This is what is called a pet peeve(no pun intended) Lets really think about what you are obsessing over. Not putting toilet paper on the roll. >Is this something that is going to cause illness, famine, war, pestilence,or death? My motto ! If it isn't a gushing artery it isn't and emergency. Choose your battles and you will find life a lot more satisfying and tranquil.

I have the same problem at my house....I think it is a boy thing b/c my 3 year old daughter will replace the roll but my husband and older sons dont

Carry a roll around with you or hide it in the bathroom. If they realize that you're not going to replace it for them, they'll have to do it themselves. They're taking advantage of you and being lazy.

ban them from th toilet paper for a few days or weeks and then they'll get the point.

because human beings are thoughtless rude idiots, my son leaves it on the counter all the time, and when it is placed on the holder he takes it off,
