Athiests don't care what most people think. Pious people are "hellbent" on caring about what everyone thinks, including but not limited to the imaginary ones.

Christians are taught in the Bible to share the good news so that eveyone can go to heaven. True Christians are not doing it to be evil to you. Why would anybody want to go to heaven and let their friend go to hell? That right there would be selfish and truly un-Christian. I am not sure about other religions so I can't answer for them. I am sure that they are just trying to help. Nobody genuinely knows for a fact what happens when we die. Therefore each person uses their brain to culminate an answer to live with before they die and some try to spread it around in the hopes that they are doing something good and helping others.

--Not trying to insult anyone or proclaim any religion.--

Some people are convinced that non-Christians are going to hell. A lot of their 'concern' does have to do with what they see as the command to spread the Gospel. There are others, however, who genuinely have love & joy in their hearts, and want you to know it, too. Kind of like, if you won the lotto, you'd want your loved ones to share in it also. However, anyone who tells you that you're going to hell does not have this kind of love in their heart! Personally, I'd love it if the whole world could experience God's love, joy, humour, creativity, etc...but it doesn't matter to me through WHAT faith anyone finds it. And I don't try to 'convert' others...nor do I look down on atheists or agnostics or anyone.

why is it you care what they think. im a wiccan and i get alot of the same reaction from people in the biblical religions. personally if they attack my own beliefs theyre either uneducated in the matter and i just give them the cold shoulder so they can continue on theyre ignorant way. or i get the occasional person who is actually quite educated in religion (as a whole, not just their own) which i can get a good debate out of.

dont let it get to you. and be reminded that an open mind on religion is a better one then a closed mind... if you chose to be an athiest you've obviously taken the time to look at other religions. and just find darwins theory's fits more to your own beliefs.

We are instructed in the Bible to share the good news. I heard the good news, I believed, the rest is history. Now I try to do what I was instructed to do. With wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit, not just on a whim, it doesn't work that way. There is wisdom and a higher calling involved.

I use to be an athiest. I remeber the shock to. I use to tell everyone just to watch the shock on their face. But now that I am a Christian, things are differant. I use to think people could heal think they were healed, but I never healed myself, just by using my mind when I was an Athiest, as a matter of fact, I almost died of an ulcer. I care, but I am not going to force my religion on you. I understand were you are coming from and you won't change your mind until you see that you need a savior.

You are not going to hell,it is being flooded with the waters of baptizmals,no longer needed. All who have unity with God in unconditional love know that we all are one with God and NONE can be lost or left behind. I can not go home to father God and tell him I left my brother or sister behind. I will wait for you to complete your awakening and we shall go home together. As drops of water merges into the sea.PS some not fully awake may rush you,no hurry, time does not exist for those in unity with God.

Religious people' only motivation is FEAR, not Love. Their goal is to scare you into believing what they believe. They believe what they believe out of fear of going to Hell, and it's that fear that keeps them in line. All that talk about love and a loving God is just a selling point, they don't believe it themselves.

believers like to believe that they are special and have the ear of the greatest being in the universe - it makes them feel superior to non-believers.
They are taught, therefore, that they are personally responsible to convert everyone that doesn't agree with them - this is how churches build their membership. What the believers may or may not realize, is that they are pawns in lining the pockets of religious leaders.

On behalf of reasonable and accepting religious people everywhere, I apologize that you've gotten this kind of reaction.

I, personally, don't care that you don't believe.

I have no feelings one way or the other about it.
