I guess it depends on several factors such as what the question deals with and different views that different people have. For example, on here, you get a variety of answers that allow you to analyze them and look at things from a variety of perspectives, most of which are ones that you have never considered. it helps you notice things that you may have missed. if you would have asked a parent that question, you would only get their point of view. if a parent was raising their kids a certian way, then perhaps coming on here for advice would be bad. for example, when a 17 year old asks if its okay to have sex. some people may say, yes, if you are in love, others (for example a religious parent), may say no way! also, sometimes teenagers and anyone have questions that they do not know who to turn to to ask. the question may be embarrassing, especially if it relates to sex or a question about the body. also, relationship questions may be bias when answered by family and friends. you can get real answers from people on here bc they do not know you or the person and cannot judge them.

Right or wrong is something you have to decide, if you get an answer that seems applicable, then it is good, if it does not go with you then its your choice to ignore it. Sometimes there are questions which we cannot ask our parents, and you can ask them in this forum because there are people who are serious to help and others not. And the good thing is no one knows your identity. It makes it safer to ask anything you want. We all need someone to answer us honestly in our life problems.

It's the modrun way. Parents give advise loaded with what they want for you, here you are finding the experiences of thousands around the countryand the world. lots of adult lango though, be ready for some abuse. Tell mom and dad your giving this contract to a new supplier, if they were to raise your allowance you would consider running their input by your new comittee.

Yes, parents know best because they have been there. You sometimes refuse to listen because you are sacred to realize the truth.
Whatever you say, older people who have been to the same situation know best.
Its also ok to take advise from close friends and from Yahoo answers. Just take something goo out of all opinions.

There are few places that will give you answers as honest and diverse as this place. You can ask your parents or friends as well, but it's always best to have a variety of answers so you can make the best decision in your situation. This place rocks!!
