Your savings rules out the need based financial aid or scholarships. There are scholarships out there to help with the college tuition. However, there are many high school and college students seeking out scholarships, so it pays to do your homework before on their website along with proofreading the essay before submission.

First, go to your high school guidance office because they have a list of local scholarships available to you to apply for consideration.

Second, the college's financial aid office and website often have a list of private scholarships offered by organizations and companies.

Third, go to the library and check out the scholarship handbook or listing. There are scholarships not listed on a website or website based scholarship search.

Fourth, search Google.com and Yahoo.com for scholarships based college major, religion, race, and ethnicity.

Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search.
