If you really like this guy,go for it. Most guys would be flattered for a girl to do the asking.

Oh yeah!! Guys love that. Of course there's always the chance the guy's not interested in the girl doing the asking. I read somewhere that there are rules of etiquette for this situation. Guys use this system when asking girls out. It goes like this.
If you ask a guy out and he says no, pay special attention to the reason he gives. Most guys will not want to hurt your feelings (same with girls) so you'll get a weak excuse like "I have to give my dog a bath" or "I have a skin condition and I'm exfoliating that night" or "I have to work on my Aunt Mary's car that night." Never ask a guy out more than three times after getting such excuses. Just move along. No harm. No foul. He doesn't have to come right out and reject you and you don't have to come right out and be rejected.
One time, I had a girl give me an excuse that I thought was weak. It was somewhat plausible so I figured I'd give it another go at a later time. As luck would have it, my old girlfriend wanted to get back together and I was good with that plan. Come to find out, the girl I had asked out was a lesbian and she didn't want to hurt my feelings. I was too ignorant to figure it out. Anyway, thinking back on that whole deal, it seems hilarious now. But I digress.......

Having a female ask male out is quite good for the ego, and shows how much confidence she has in herself. It's the new millennium and as such anything goes when asking people out.

Well, me personally, I'm a shy guy. So, I would Love if a girl would ask me, but I know it usually isn't proper for this.

most guys would want the girl to ask them out unless they're
too shy.
if they are shy you should try to imply you want to ask him out
but if that does'nt work just ask him out =D

i can get embarrased when a girl askes me out but sometimes its ok
