He is behind bars for sexual misconduct with a minor and indecency with a minor. Before he was charged, I already didn't like him, because he was way too touchy feely with me and my sister after knowing us a matter of weeks! (My dad gave up his rights in order to be rid of his then in-laws who treated him like crap. My step-brother tracked him down after 30 years.)

Get him a Promise book. You can find them at the christian book store. Honestly we all need to find hope, even- especially the hopeless!

If you already don't like him, why bother? Even if you DID give something to him, it's definately not from the heart. He did something very disgusting, and probably doesn't deserve anything at all. But if he's a changed man, well, why not? After all, Christmas is all about giving. If you think giving him will make you feel better, then, just do it. Maybe you can bake him some ginger bread or something. If you don't feel comfortable about visiting him in person, get someone to go with you, or you could pass the gift to someone and ask them to deliver it to him.

I would say, definitely send him a bible at LEAST. And a short, straightforward card. I also liked the stationary idea to write letters to loved ones. Do NOT get anything extra or fun...people need to learn that crimes effect others, which effects THEM.

Get him a book on card games, and 3 decks of playing cards. Some of the best card games I learned how to play were from men who had some jail time. It's cheap and it will help him pass time.
