Take precautions. Your first priority is to keep people and other animals safe. Supervise, confine, and/or restrict your dog's activities until you can obtain professional guidance. You are liable for your dog's behavior. If you must take your dog out in public, consider a cage-type muzzle as a temporary precaution, and remember that some dogs are clever enough to get a muzzle off.

Spay or neuter your dog. Intact dogs are more likely to display dominance, territorial, and protective aggressive behavior.

I have a Pit mixed dog that got attacked on the street by an off leash Rottweiler when she was a puppy. It scared her so badly that any time a dog would come up to greet her she would lash out at it. She only did this after this attack. Not to bite but to snap as if to say "Get away!"
I had to work with her a lot because of this. I had to desensitize her to other dogs approaching her by meeting with friends and their dogs in places where she could be off leash. (like in a secured yard) Being on leash she was scared of being "trapped" with nowhere to run to.
Once she got used to that I took her to dog parks and let her run with the pack becuase I knew she would not bite the other dogs. She was nervous at first and now looks forward to her regular visits there where she is a social bee.
It helps to work with a trainer on something like this if you doubt your dog or yourself. Do you know why she does this? When did she first start to do this?

Get her spayed is she isn't already. You can purchase an affordable spay/neuter certificate at http://www.friendsofanimals.org that you can use at your local vet.

You need to determine if the aggression is fear or dominance based. This will determine the course of action on modifying the behavior.

Get familiar with dog body language so you can prevent her from getting overly agitated. Just because your dog seems "excited and happy" to see another dog does not mean she is. Dogs wag their tails and pant when in distress as well.

Take her to some dog lessons. Tell the instructor B4 the class starts about the problems you are having with your dog. I've seen dogs get over this. Keep working on it, and until you get the lessons, don' t put yourself or your dog in situations where you could have problems. Even talk to the vet before you bring her in so they can help control the situation.

You need some serious training. Do not take your dog to a group training unless and until you teach the dog to listen to you beyond distraction!

http://www.leerburg.com has articles, podcasts and DVD's to help you deal with your dominant dog.

Better get this under control before your dog is punished and/or destroyed for biting someone.

Take it to a training house and train it not to attack other dogs. If it wasn't exposed to other dogs as a puppy then that is probably why it does that. It might take a while to train it if you didn't expose it to other dogs when it was a pup.

1. is she spayed? If not do it ASAP. Unspayed animals are usually more agressive
2. Keep her on a leash at all times in public, if you know she is aggessive, do not let her near other dogs
3. GET A PROFESSIONAL. Either a trainer, behaviorist, or BOTH. This is nothing to mess around with. It could mean her life.

Your dog needs to go to obedience school immediately. He could be a vicious dog and a danger to children. If so, you could be in a lot of trouble. Get a muzzle for him.

You have to show it whos boss, and that it brings you disfavor. It may have no respect for you, or is just a "bad dog". Either way, you have to either keep him away from other dogs until you can control him, or else get used to lawsuits.
