To help heal it aloe vera gel works well (make sure nothing else is added). To help the pain, get a tube of Oragel (like they use for teething babies - works really well & fast). Otherwise, the tongue is one of the fastest things to heal in the body, so it should be gone pretty quickly.

Try this. It sounds weird but put a spoon full of sugar on your toungue and hold it there for about a min then swallow or spit it out. I have done that it helps to get rid of the pain for a bit. Ice is also good

it goes away i promise, i've had my share of a burnt tongue so many times!!! (marching band and after performing in the cold, of course we all get hot chocolate and it's burning hot and then we burn ourselves of course cause we're so cold) it goes away i believe after like 2 days, i guess drinking cold water, i tend to forget about it. maybe cough drops might help, then menthol lyptus ones that have that cooling relief already with them. the guy who suggested ice above me, that might be something to try.

hurricane gel is the only thing you can use. or ambesol.. any kind of topical anesthetic. other than that, not much at all can be done for a burned tongue.
