I would have thought that kind of information would get into a newspaper. Do you have secret sources? Or a "Forward" in your email perhaps? lol

That seems unlikely. A star is ignited when it contains such a mass that the combined gravity of the hydrogen causes then to fuse together, forming helium and releasing vast quantities of energy.

If Jupiter had this mass then it would have ignited already. Unless Jupiter gains additional mass or a sudden influx of energy Jupiter will not ignite. This mass or influx required would be of unimaginable proportions.

Jupiter can't begin fusion because it isn't hot enough for the process to begin. Sorry, you be wrong.

I've been waiting for that to happen for years now. It would be far too small to be a stable star however. It will nova quickly and this will spell our doom. Thanks dude!
