James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
John 14:14,15,26,28; 16:23.26 Pray to the Father In Jesus name.
SOME THINGS ARE OF THE FATHER ONLY:
John 6:44 [ The Father ]; Matt.20:22,23 [ The Father ]; Matt.24:3,7,14,15,22,34,36-38 [ ONLY GOD KNOWS WHEN THE WORLD FROM EDEN WITH SATAN IN IT WILL END ];
Eph.2:7; 3:21 THE WORLD WITH JESUS IS WITHOUT END John 3:16;

Should not confess you sins to anyone but Christ. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
No other that can give salvation - Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
not to pray to anyone but God Matt 6:9 "Pray, then, in this way: `Our Father who is in heaven..."
I use the olive tree search program http://www.olivetree.com/bible/
It does not use the NIV though so if you want that use http://www.blueletterbible.org/

Many commands to bring your prayers to God none to anyone else and their is only one mediator:
Philippians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
Hebrews 10:10-12
By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,

As for a verse finder I use the e-Sword software and you can download a FREE copy from a link on the Free Stuff page @ http://web.express56.com/~bromar/ along with a lot of useful study tools like a concordance and commentaries.
There is no verse that says not to confess our sins to another person, however there is this passage among others.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Then there are these verses that relate to prayer.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
What you won't find is anyone in the Bible trying to pray to a dead person other than the pitiable Saul who went to a medium to contact the departed Samuel. In that unique instance Samuel asked Saul why he would come to him when God had already deserted him.
Praying to departed saints is a man made tradition that has no support in the Bible. Instead you have this passage.
Isaiah 8:19 And when they say to you, "Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter," should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living?
The idea that with the Holy Spirit and Christ Jesus interceding for us on our behalf we should somehow try to contact a departed saint like Mary is ludicrous. I don't condemn people who were raised in that tradition but I will point out that it isn't found in the Bible and it makes it look like we who have been born again by the Holy Spirit and made to be sons and daughters of God somehow can't come to Him on the merits of the sacrifice of Christ but have to offer up our prayers to someone whom we hope has a right standing with God who can intercede on our behalf.
Hebrews 4:14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

It doesn't say you shouldn't confess your sins to others - on the contrary James says: "Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another , so that you may be healed." (James 5:16)
Acts 4:12 says "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name (than Jesus) under heaven that has been given among men whereby we must be saved."

confident, yet purely as a source of tips concerning the Bible. I opened it up at Deuteronomy whilst i exchange into 11 and could no longer have confidence the **** that fluctuate into in there. That exchange into why, throughout the time of the later era as quickly as I grew to become a believer for some years, i exchange into in no way a Christian.
