My boyfriend is totally into cars. Whats something I can say to impress him?? =] I dont have to know what it means..

haha. my boyfriend is obsessed with cars, went to school for cars and worked at porche as a tech for awhile too. it used to annoy the crap out of me but he has chilled out a lot which helps. honestly, theres no "one right thing" to say...different guys are into different types of cars. also, if you say something about cars, you risk the chance that he may respond to it and try to start a discussion with you and then you are screwed. your best bet is to just not try to impress him. listen to stuff that he and his car buddies talk about and ask questions. you will learn stuff (a little) over time. i say stuff all the time that makes no sense trying to sort of impress yet be funny at the same time bc he knows that i have no clue what im talking about. its a good laugh anyway...
if you see a car with cool rims, tell him that you really like those rims...(rims are the middle part of a tire where most cars have the hubcap...) lol

If you have a general knowledge of turbos, nitrous, or supercharging a car or a general knowledge for cars a guy will be impressed. Being in the car seen not too many girls know a lot about cars and knowing even a little would impress him. But just be who you are regardless, dont be someone ur not to make someone else happy. They should like you for who you are regardless if your a mechanic or not.

Why would you want to say something and not know what it means? If he has a nice car - compliment him on it. That will impress him -guys love their cars (some of us gals do too).

Now thats impressive. You need not back up a lack of knowledge, the situation stands and speaks for itself.
It's hard to one up that, even "I know how the shifter works"

I reckon that guys think its cute that we are totally clueless when it comes to cars.
If I were you I wouldnt try and know something about them cause then you'll say the wrong thing and he will think your a spaz!
Get him to tell you about cars and act really interested, that will impress him more!

Watch HotrodTV or Horsepower TV or something like that. I love Horsepower TV myself. I come form a long line of car heads.
You could also tell him you want to learn anything he wants to take time to show you.

I don't think he expects you to know things about cars. Jeez chick, be yourself! If you want to learn more about cars, ask HIM! Show an interest in what he likes, but don't pretend to be someone u aren't!

Tell him you think he should try a cam with a little more lft and a little less duration..it will build alot more torque.
Torque is good!
