Bile is produced in the liver and stored in the gall bladder. It helps break down the foods that you eat. If you aren't eating much, or if your guts are sick and not moving forward, bile builds up in the small intestine and backs up into the stomach. It is very nauseating, and you will throw it up-- thick and yellow. That in itself is just a symptom of many different disorders, even something as simple as stomach flu or food poisoning. It's possible that your gallbladder hasn't been functioning well because of the cyst, and it had a sudden contraction, which would pump a lot of bile into your small intestine all at once, making you nauseous and then making you vomit. You should call your doctor, especially if you aren't feeling better by now, because he knows more about your condition than anyone here. Good Luck!!

Yes. What you are throwing up is called bile. It's purpose is to break down fats that you ingest. I don't know all your specifics but it sounds like your body is producing too much bile which can happen when there is a blockage,(such as a cyst). Cut out all fatty food until you have sugery.... All, means no burgers, cheese, fried foods, fatty meats....Call your doctor and see if he can prescribe something to decrease the bile and something for your nausea. Hope you feel better soon.

I am no doctor but I have thrown up stuff like that and it was actual stomach bile. When you have nothing in your stomach to throw up the only thing left is the actual acid like bile in your stomach. Good luck. Also I hate to suggest this but smoking a little pot will cure a nausiated stomach.

Seriously the yellow stuff is Bile. You probably need to let your Doctor know about the vomiting, but the yellow is just the bile from your gall bladder.

i used to do that. the doc told me its a sign of indigestion, and typically a digestive problem. i didnt through it up, but i used to cough them up and when i do through up yellow stuff, the doc said that there isnt anything left on my stomach, and that that is like a stomach-lining acid. u should probably ask a physician about a medication and cut down on greasy foods, because when this happened to me and i continued eating unhealthy, i had to go to the hospital to get my stomach pumped, by putting a tube up my nose that i had to swallow to my stomach. very painful...so check it out asap!
