I just got in this relationship with this girl I like, she just broke up about 3 weeks ago with her ex that she dated for 4 months. Shes lutheran and her parents are really strict they found out about her old boyfriend by acciedent and werent to happy about him. We have considered us being boyfriend and girlfriend for a month now but we have only been on 1 date so far, we saw Happy feet and she seemed like she had a really good time when I asked if she wanted to do something this weekend she said she would love to but had to go at the moment. Latter when I called her she said that her dad isnt working this weekend so she wont be able to see me this weekend is that a bad sign? And the other weekends she had church things to do for chrous and thanksgiving and when i offered to help she didnt want me to and said it would be weird for me to go since im not the same religion. Any advice on where to take her, how to meet her parents, or just on my situation would be great.

Thats rather strange. They must be super religious. It would probably be a littl weird for you to come over for Thanksgiving when you just started a relationship...its a little soon. the part about is being weird bc you are a different religion is odd but it may have been an excuse so that she didnt have to say something like, "um..we just started dating, thats weird. no." i wouldnt push on meeting the parents just yet. but the fact that she said she cant do anything bc her dad didnt have to work is slightly strange as well. ask her about it and let her know that you like her and are interested in a relationship and would like to meet her parents and have them be okay with her dating you. also, her parents need to realize that you are just a boyfriend, not asking to marry her or anything. dating is fun, it doesnt always have to get super serious!

Sounds like her parents are making sure that she has a very serious and deep religious back round. You don't want to step on any toes with the parental units so why not just get to know one another and then ease into meeting her parents. I would suggest taking her somewhere you can have fun and talk and build a bond with one another. It doesn't matter if you don't follow the same faith, believing is believing.

I cant understand how you could get into a relationship after one date.either you both are too young or just immature.In my opinion you have to really get to know someone to be in a serious relationship.she has strict parents and she is too involved with them.its not a wrong thing though!so all i got a say is that get to know her fully before you call her your girlfriend.

Well just be yourself. Don't push things let it happen on its own.
Remember she just broke up with someone, shes vulnerable right now.and probably just scared to get hurt. Take your time. The best thing to do is allow her to suggest a time to meet her parents, don't push the issue. She will let you know when shes ready for that. Take her to a movie, walk, drive.ect
Remember you don't have to do things that cost money.

number 1. relax. dont think so much. she probably really is busy.
number 2. with the parents, speak only when you know exactly what youre going to say and you know they will reply well to what you have said.
number 3. with the ex. if you think shes still into him ask her. dont be accusing though that could be bad. say something like: if you say you like only me ill believe you i just want to hear it from you.

How different are your religions? You could show your openness to her family's faith by attending her church...
