Well, He did. The rainbow is a promise from God that He will never again destroy the earth. More importantly in the New Testament there is a story of a man that died and went to hell and in his suffering he asked if he could back to earth so he could warn his 5 brothers so they wouldn't end up here. God said, "They have the scriptures (all they need to believe)." Yes, said the man but they do not believe them. Then God said, they would not believe even if one were to rise from the dead.
You see people won't believe even when it's right in front of their face. God knows that, That's why He doesn't do any skywriting. .

The Jews of old saw many signs and wonders during their 40 year trek in the wilderness. Daily, they were supplied food and water. For 40 years, their shoes did not wear from off their feet. They had a cloud to follow by day, and a column of fire at night. An entire generation passed.
They witnessed and experienced miracles daily. Yet they still chose to ignore God.
So, do you stil think that a huge sign in the sky would do the trick?
People choose what things they will believe in; the evidence they have matters little.
The Bible has been around in its current format (more or less) for 500 years. The teachings it holds for 3,000. People still believe what they want to believe.

All saints will help anyone if they can. Jesus did not come for everyone, He said, "I came to redeem MANY".he said he was sent for the jewish nation. Jesus was a siddha yoga Guru, There are many on earth now,I have met two. See romans 8-29 this explains the Guru diciple relationship. Much of what jesus taught came from the Rig Vedas, siddha yoga and hinduism. Jesus taught reincarnation, medition on God & Mantra repetation. Much was left out & deleted from scripture when king constantine called the council of churches to compile the bible in 365 AD.

I think that why most people who don't believe God think that way. as if he should do something to prove his existence. To me, he has. I hear him say it everytime I look up at the stars or drive through the mountains or see a spectacular sunset, I'd rather see that, than words.
Woh lady at the top, there is a different reason other than he does waste his time on trivial things. I ask him to help me with trivial things all the time. So I know that's not the reason. I'm not exactly sure though why he doesn't do that, it seems like it would help a lot of stubborn people out there. But He has His reason, as cliche as it sounds.

As a Christian, I have often asked the same kind of question.
Why is belief in Christianity not an obvious conclusion? Why does God not simply appear and say, "Hey, here I Am, right here, right now, no need to doubt."
Good honest question.

Thats why there is faith and atoms and wind, and gamma rays and gravity, and love, and germs, we can't see these things with the naked eye, but we know they are there. Do you think that if God did that, everyone, including serial killers would get saved. I doubt it. They would still deny Chrisy until judgement day and ALL will confess that Jesus is lord.

That's one of the reasons I love the Old Testament. God shows us clearly there that time after time He did things just like you are talking about and it didn't work. Not on a permanent basis anyway. Usually within THREE days, they were whining and mistrusting His word again...

Probably still wouldn't work. In Jesus time He said " Even if one be raised from the dead they would still not believe" and many at that time didn't Are we really any smarter?

God uses the preaching of the cross to spread His message. He uses people from every nation, every culture - people like you and I - to declare His offer of salvation.
There have been supernatural events like what you describe in different parts of the world. But supernatural things like that get men curious and excited but they do not bring men to a saving faith in Christ. Christ must be received by faith and faith comes through hearing the word of God and hearing comes through preaching.......
Paul talks about God using the foolish things of this world - like preaching - to confound the wise. It does, doesn't it?

right. he could do a lot of things to convince us he's real. but as I've been told before, "god has better things to do with his time". "he won't interfere with matters so trivial".
