I texted message this guy just to say Happy Thanksgiving, and I didn't hear back from him for a couple of hours. Finally I get a text back telling me the same. I mean he didn't have to text me back I know he was really busy, but he took the time later to reply back to me. What do you think? Also I did use to date him 10 years ago.

Don't read too much into this. He's probably a very considerate person who had the decency to respond to your message. If he thinks anything more about you then you will find out soon enough, but please don't get in a big hurry to jump to conclusions. No matter what your past relationship was with this guy, never give him the idea that you are desperate.

Around the Holidays it's a good idea to touch base with those that you think linger in your mind from time to time. I think he was being polite and spreading a little Holiday cheer as well. If this is the only communication you have had in the past ten years? chances are he was just being polite.

here's what i think. I think he was just being nice.Cause it would be wrong to leave you hanging. But if you want something to happen go approach him and ask him he wants to date again and don't assume off a text message.It works better when you "communicate".

Have a little faith in yourself! If you dated years ago chances are he is still interested,unless you broke up on bad terms.
He answered you, and told you to have a good thanks giving also.
Especially if he is a busy man. Hon believe in yourself you know you have a lot to offer so don't fret!
