I have actually cooked today a ground sirloin patty with raw onion, mustard and ketchup on a sesame seed bun. I did not want to keep this patty in the refrigerator any longer. I will have some leftover turkey tomorrow. The beef tasted ever so much better!!! And mince pie, I am looking for Rum raisin ice cream now.

One of the few things I miss about not living in North America anymore is the Thanksgiving meals!
Where I am, in Europe, it's just another thursday... I made eggplant with diced potatos, onions and bolognese sauce that I'd made for pasta 2 days earlier...
And today I made fried veal liver with minced onion and mashed potatoes...
Tomorrow we are having a family get together, and I am going to make an american dessert: either a peanut butter pie or a pumpkin cheesecake. (I'll decide in the morning)....That way I'll have a little "Thanksgiving spirit" of my own!
I do miss our typical turkey! (I have it here at christmas time...when I do the cooking. In Spain the typical Christmas meal is usually based on seafood, with a main course which could be roast suckling pig, or a roasted lamb leg or pork leg (not a pink american style ham. And the desserts are not homemade pies).

Cooked turkey dinner for 175 people, with apple crisp and whipped cream for dessert. So, yes, I cooked.

NO!! I have been painting all day. I wanted to stay busy so I wouldn't eat. And...there is plenty of food left over...so why would I cook? I spent two days cooking and fixing.....if my family wanted something else....then they could fix their own food. I'm tired!!!

Lard isn't undesirable.. Lard includes: extra monounsaturated fat ("stable" fat) than sunflower oil and corn oil. extra polyunsaturated fat (additionally "stable" fat) than olive oil! Thirty % much less saturated fat than butter. No trans fat in any respect! Lard is cherished by utilising bakers because of the fact it makes the main elegant flaky pie dough. And on condition that the main consumer-friendly option to lard is vegetable shortening, that's chock finished of nasty trans fat, lard could certainly be the extra healthy decision. 9 INCH 2 CRUSTS: 2 c. flour a million tsp. salt 2/3 c. lard a million/4 c. water blend flour and salt in a bowl. shrink in lard with pastry blender until small pea length debris are won. upload water a sprint at a time. blend with fork until flour is moist. Press right into a ball and turn out onto a floured board. Divide in a million/2. Roll out one a million/2. attempt to no longer use too plenty extra suitable flour - it makes the crust hard. Roll out to needed length. approximately an inch bigger than the pan. Fold pastry in a million/2 and lay pan. unfold and positioned pastry into pan. attempt to no longer stretch the pastry as this motives it to shrink at the same time as baking. Sprinkle a sprint sugar on the best crust so it's going to be calmly browned.

Unless it was serve yourself and you ate cold you cooked. I reheated and remixed and reserved but it was still cooking. Mashed potatoes with eggs for breakfast, out for lunch, Hot turkey and dressing sandwiches for dinner and then ice cream sundaes for dessert.

All fruits are fresh vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which is employed for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually chosen far too soon. Some are rocks, many are bad. Some of the fruit and vegetables are right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.
