Absolutely! I became a Christians as a little child and never really was confronted with the aspect of hell until I was much older. If there was no god at all I still would want to live the life I have lived. The peace and joy in my life that is so great that it is without understanding. The friendships with people who are honest and trustworthy is amazing. Living without perversion is of great worth. I used to hate going to work just because I had to listen all day long to off color remarks and sexual filth. I love to be with people who had pure minds. I love the family involvement of Christians and to see beautiful children raised without violence. I love the power of prayer when circumstances are overwhelming, and just one day at a time things happen to turn it around. I rejoice in the hope of eternal life and one day all this strife and problems will be over. I love the power over sin in life, and the joy when God takes all your guilt away and forgives you.
I could go on, but it is a wonderful life, with a great hope for the future, and I would not give it up for anything.

I'd believe, as for being devout.... I'm not really all that devout.... If I was, I wouldn't be looking so hard for the perfect way! I just have a hard time accepting only a certain scattered man chosen set of holy books. The Holy Bible is great! Don't get me wrong! I just want to research all the others to find for myself if they belong or not. There are a bunch of extremely gifted religious mental giants that could go over all the books again and I bet a few more would make it! Some that are there now, might not. I just want to be the one who decides. Since it is my buns on the line if a mistake had been made, some where down the line.

I didn't become a Christian because I was afraid of hell. I became a Christian at age 42 when I realised that my life without God didn't make any sense or have any purpose and God arranged circumstances in my life to where I ended up showing up at the church I now belong to and heard the gospel message for the first time.

The only other times in my life I had ever been to church were for a wedding or when I was in basic training in the military and it was either go to church with the rest of the guys or clean up the barracks.

The Bible teaches that no one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws them. It also says that faith is a gift given to people by the Holy Spirit. I can't speak for anyone else but as I look back on how I became a believer, those things were certainly true in my life. I wasn't worried about paying any eternal penalty for my sins and I didn't feel particularly guilty about things I had done in my past. But I was totally dissatisfied with the course of my life and that's when I was ready to offer up the sacrifice that God accepts from a proud human being who has been living apart from Him all of their life.

Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Yes. It is/was for me. I had no concern about hell when I became a Christian. I had been through a serious family tragedy, I was ready to die. I had no fear of hell. I just wanted my life to be over. I did not like it. God showed me a better way. I have been a blood bought, born again, Bible believing Christian for nearly 17 years now. I am thankful that God loved me enough to show me the truth. I will never doubt God. Hell never really entered the picture, but love did-a love I never knew existed. Praise the name of Jesus, Amen.

I am no longer afraid to go to hell, since I became a Christian. I serve a good, loving, merciful God. I am obedient, not devout. There is freedom in Grace. God is our Father why would I fear Him. I fear acting out my own will, because it brings negative consequences. After I was "born again" the desires and worldly activities, no longer interested me. I occupy my time, my money and my gifts to the service of God. There is no fear in God, if I am His child. Are you afraid?

Yes, I would believe. Because as a Christian we are drawn by the beauty of Christ. We enjoy the fellowship of His Spirit daily and also with other believers. We have a friend, comforter, savior, and one who sticks closer than a brother. Hell,is not really what we focus on. We focus on the love and forgiveness of Christ. The threat of hell is removed when your gaze on the beauty of Christ. There is no fear of hell.

Yup, I don't believe because of fear in fact I don't even think about hell nor does it motivate any of my actions. I believe because of research I have done that gave me no alternative. After reading the book "The Signature of God" by Grant Jeffrey I got the scientific proof I was searching for. Peace :-)

Amazingly it is not the fear of hell that motivates me to be a christian it is the love of the life that is only available through the death Burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you have never lived until you start living Eternal Life.

Well I know recently like a year ago I started to truly be devout because I wanted to reach for that prize in heaven which I beleive there is different levels of rewards in heaven and I want to be up there in the greatest rewards so I really put my mind towards the prize
Matthew 6:19
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
Matthew 6:20
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Fear of hell and wanting to be with God are the same thing. Hell is existing without God. No one knows what it's like to be totally without God, in this life, and I don't want to find out what it's like in the next one. So, as I say, they are logically the same thing.
