Take her out for a trip... she'll have a great time at the pet store, and you can try on harnesses while your at it! Going to the pet store on our weekly trip has become somewhat of a tradition for me and my pup!

An associate should be able to help to... just aim for an approximate size and then adjust it accordingly.

Take your dog with you into a Pet Store that allows it and ask the people that work there to help you find the harness that fits your dog best. If they can't because they can't get away from the register or they "just work there and don't know", go to a large store like PetSmart or PetCo where people should be trained in the products they sell according to the depts they work in and they can help you find the best product for your dog. If you are getting a harness, I have a great brand that I use on my dogs and it keeps them from pulling. It is called an "Easy Walk" by Gentle Leader. It doesn't look like a regular harness but it works really good.

Most places that sell harnesses will allow you to bring the dog in and try it on.

Just take her to the petstore with you. Trial & error is the best way, in my opinion. Sometimes, even if it says it'll fit that breed, it can be too tight, if your dog has a broad chest.
