i went to the doctor and he perscibed some antibiotic but it doesnt seem to solve anything what could this be???

hiya. It sounds to me like you have a bad ear infection. Maybe you need a further dose of antibiotics to clear this up. The lump in you neck is probably an enlarged lymph gland which has come up because of the infection.

You didn't say how long you've been taking the antibiotics. Give it a few more days. If you've already taken all of them then you may need to go back to the doctor and get differen't antibiotics. The bump on your neck is probably from an ear infection and will probably go down when that is better. Hope you feel better soon.

You may have a swollen lymph node on the side of your neck and an ear infection, maybe due to poor immune system at the moment..the weather may be a factor or are you stressed out..all these things can count towards ill health. take a few days off and get better.

didn't the doc tell you what it is? Antibiotics are prescribed for infections. I bet you have an infected gland or lymph node. It'll take at least 2 -3 days on antibiotics before you start to feel better, then you'll need to remember to finish all the meds so it doesn't recur.

If you were young, I would call it mumps. What kind of infection do you have? And how long ago did you get the antibiotics?
