I had a German Shepherd dog that went into heat early and just before I was planning to have her spayed. She got out of the yard and I was afraid she had possibly mated with another dog. About a week after she was completely out of heat I took her to the Vet and told them she may have mated after getting out. They said it would not harm her to go ahead and be spayed. There were no puppies. If you are talking about having a dog spayed that may have just mated, or was recently mated, you can get her spayed.
BTW, I think all puppies are cute! But because of overpopulation and all the dogs that have to be put down, getting a pet spayed or neutered is a responsible thing to do.

Puppies are a BIG responsibility, even if you just keep them for a week. But, you need to make your own decision about whether or not is is moral to abort the pregnancy. You will likely have trouble finding a vet that will do it. Though, it is possible. I certainly hope you learn from this experience and take care in the future to prevent unwanted pups! About them being ugly however... no one will know how ugly the adult dog may be. Puppies are nearly, if not ALWAYS cute. Likely you could find homes for them!
Good luck

Take her in for a spay, if she isnt too far along they will spay her and the puppies will be aborted. She should have been spayed long before this could happen. As for the comment that her puppies will be "ugly" seems like if she's too far along to spay, someone ELSE needs to care for her during the pregnancy other than you. You seem a bit too immature to be able to handle it. Either way, get her spayed. We don't need more puppies in this world.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder; nice to call your dog ugly - says a lot; why didn't you spend the money and have her spayed or find a new home for her where her owner won't be so prejudice towards looks as if only looks count; some of the not so good looking dogs are the best pets; don't sell everyone short, life is a long road and even longer if these are your rose colored glasses.

why did you not get your dog spayed in the first place....BEFORE she got pregnant....DUH! And it is spelled Abortion, not Obortion. Get your dog spayed NOW. The vet can do it while she is pregnant if she it not too far along.

I don't know how you already know the unborn puppies will be ugly, but since you do, why did you allow her to become pregnant?
It depends on how late in the pregnacy she is as to whether a vet will abort the unborn ugly puppies, you realize they will have to spay her if they abort.

Medical Abortions: Abortion methods exist for dogs. This is usually done when the female is too young or too old, a non-desirable reproduction or the reproduction of two different breeds. This procedure is done with 3 injections, at 48 hour intervals. This should be done during the first ten days after reproduction; nowadays there are other products that give us more time.
Average pregnancy length is 9 weeks.

I would think about it more. Are you really sure you want to give up the lives of puppies-to-be? There probably should be a better reason then that you think they will be ugly, but they do do abortions on dogs. I wouldn't do it if I were you, but if your really sure that's the right choice....
