Simply put take 2 glasses of milk; one glass whole, 2% or skim Milk and one glass Chocolate Milk.
Grab an Oreo cookie and dunk it in the white milk for 8 secs. Notice how soft it gets???
Now take an Oreo cookie and dunk it in the chocolate Milk for 8 secs. It doesn't get soft does it??
Take a nother Oreo dunk it in the chocolate milk for 60 secs, it still ain't soft. So I wanna know, what's the deal with that.
It's milk, is it because of the chocolate in the chocolate milk that acts as a coating or a barrier??
What's the scientific reasoning behind it??

any cookie will get soft in any liquid whether its chocolate or white

It's true! I thought it would be awesome to have mint Oreos dunked in chocolate milk! Except the Oreo (named brand) wasn't absorbing the chocolate milk! Why? It soaks up white milk like a sponge.

I dont have any chocolate milk here to test your theory, but I think you are making this up.
I can't imagine that Oreos don't get soft in chocolate milk just as they do in regular milk.
