It kind of depends. If it was a priest saying it, yes it is a threat.
If it was a stranger, he/she is trying to convice you to do something with your life

No threat
Simply the rules
and most people that have accepted the truth of this plan for life
find it not only easy to live with but quite comforting and supportive to a full and rich life experience !!

Besides--it isn't God that sends a person's soul to hell nearly as much as it is the person themselves who choose it !!!

Jesus came as a way.If Jesus didn't come then we would all go to hell. lets say you did something wrong and afterwards you truly were sorry and you went up to the judge and said , "Judge, I know what I did was wrong and I am truly sorry, I didn't mean to." The Judge can have pity on you but he still needs to have justice .And for your consequence you had to pay something. We as fallen human beings all have fallen short of the glory of God but we can pay the price for our sin through Jesus Christ so we don't have to pay the ultimate price for sin....spiritual death in hell. God is a just God and he is the same in all his ways , yesturday , today , and forever.

You worded it wrong. It goes, 'accept Jesus and go to Heaven'. It is not a threat, it is a promise of everlasting life.

If you knowingly deny Him because you don't believe in either Heaven or Hell, then you can't perceive it as a "Threat" because in your eyes Hell doesn't exist. Likewise if you believe in a different religion, you wouldn't perceive it as a threat because you believe your religion is right.

Only those that are on the verge of deciding to follow Christ or to deny him are threatened by His salvation.

How can accepting eternal life over eternal pain and suffering be called "a threat"? That's like asking a criminal to accept a free payment for his fine or go to jail. Think about it!

Christ gives YOU the choice of entering Heaven or Hell. He had to die for you. Sin seperated God and man in the Garden of Eden. It's a invitation as well as a warning. He has a place just for you in His Heaven. He gave each of us a will. Hope I see you there.

No, it's just a fact.

"Hades" means eternal separation from God. The reason you are separated from God is because you refuse to acknowledge the suffering torturous redemptive death of Christ and the forgiveness of sins obtained through it. Paradise is a utopia for believer's, no sin is allowed there.

So, when you are separated from God, who has power over you? You got it...Satan...and he will drag you to hell and torture you forever.

Essentially, God stops protecting you, and you are left to the mercy of Satan, who, by the way, has none.

Well, it's true to me, just accept God and you will have a perfect life. Yes it threatens me, but it threatens even more when you think about the hell part.

The opposite- it is complete freedom and eternal life in Heaven!
I could not imagine my life without Jesus Christ- salvation through Him of course is more important than anything else. But to also receive JOY and PEACE and FREEDOM! wow, that is the icing on the cake. My joy comes from the Lord- for He has saved me from Hell- which is what we all deserve!

I've never understood why people choose to worship a God who uses the same method for choosing who goes to Hell that Hitler used for sending people to Auchwitz.
