My husband has a large room downstairs that has a lot of of arcade games like race cars and gun games. We have a lot of relatives staying with us and my husband took the boys (some of my nephews and younger male cousins) downstairs to play the games. Well, one of my nieces wanted to go down there but my husband said some of the games were too violent for women to play so he gave my mother some money to take the girls to a place where you can make pottery. I went as well and we had so much fun! :) However, my nieces mother which is my aunt thought that was wrong of him to do that. I didn't think anything about it being wrong. I have been down there a couple of times and some of those games with the guns on them are very scary and violent. I didn't like them at all. My father always taught me that women shouldn't be exposed to that kind of violence because it would upset them too much and that is a reason why only men fight in battles.

How dare you question your husband's decision, especially in public. Bad Submissive!

I'm sorry i don't agree with your husbands decision of not allowing her to go down stairs.and yes some of those games can be violent, but what makes the boys any different? i bet that some of the boys that were down there were younger than the girl that was not allowed too. by the way, do you watch the news or pick up the paper? this girl reads about violence in school, sees it on TV, and if she is older she reads about it in the paper. needless to say, i have given you my opinion but why on earth is this family getting all worked up over this for??

I think that your husband is out of line, Your neice has every right to go and play those other games she is a person aswell.
Why would it be ok for a boy to do something and a girl not? That is never ok to teach children.
We are all equal no matter what gender we may be. You are basically saying that girls can't play ball or ride bikes because those are boy sports and a little girl could get hurt. Come into the ages my dear. You are teaching your boys to treat women as less equal HOW DARE YOU...............We have come to far in this world for people to do this.

Turning a blind eye to violence is not going to make it go away, the only way to do that is to have every one non violent, and that is not going to happen, so isn't it better to be aware of what is happening around you so that you may deal with IT or at least cope with it. Women are the victims of violence, they should be able to identify and get help from their knowledge

i guess his mind was on the right track...but why is it ok for the lil boys to be exposed to violence...dont that make them violent towards women when the grow up..?if one child is kept away then all of them should as well...so its not ok for a lil boy to make pottery ? i think get rid of all the violent games and just keep it simple to car racing ....

Dude, what the hell... that attitude you have is the two sexist and kinda lame. Assuming women human beings are immediately worse at video games is the two demeaning and merely straightforward incorrect in specific circumstances... and if she desires to play Grand robbery automobile, what gives you the splendid to "no longer enable" her to play it?

No, your husband is definitely a jackass.
Men fight in battles because they are too weak to have any self esteem.
Women know better than that.
And young girls these days live for violent and scary games...well, I do, anyway.
