What kind of cake? If you're totally in the dark, go and get one of those box mixes and follow the directions on the back of the box. It's a cinch. Just remember to pre-heat the oven, otherwise it won't heat to the correct temp and your cake'll come out weird!

Well if you have no experience in kitchen (cooking) then the easiest way is to buy a box of cake mix, read what you need to add, buy those, buy canned frosting. You will need measuring cup for fluids(glass cup) and measuring cups(plastic) for dried ingredients, measuring spoons, cake pans (two round), (l large rectangle), (l bundtpan) you decide. You'll Need pam spray with flour for the pans(so cake does not stick), then just read directions and you'll be set...Have fun. Baking is great

depends on how elaborate you want the cake to be. you can go from a simple recipe or try your hand at making something a little more creative. or you can simply buy a cake mix from the supermarket
