fire and brimstone messages are not that effective.
The way I would highlight that would be to show how much God has done for us and how we should be thankful, and that verse in Revelation where the Cheribum and Angels are continually circling God saying Holy Holy is the Lord God almighty (put it in search on www.biblegateway.com)
then talk about how much luckier we are in America (well I don't live there but I know) if you have money in the bank some in your pocket you are in the top 4% wealth of the world (and an income)
Then talk about the Grateful heart, and if your not against Veggie Tales the story of Madame Blueberry is beautiful and has a verse on the end He who is greedy for gain destroys his own house (Proverbs) That greed and thankfulness can't go hand in hand, greed (lust) is never satisfied, true fulfilling satisfaction comes from a heart that is thankful for all God has done and recognises that we are very BLESSED in our countries (where we are in the top 4% of the world's wealth)
It would need a rewrite but these are some ideas...
God Bless you and guide you and I would suggest pray that God softens hearts as you prepare and deliver the message.

Don't know... but it amazed me this year to see how many grumpy people there were complaining about money and where it went during Thanksgiving... I mean, come on, can't everybody just be happy for ONE DAY and forget about political bullshit? It drives me nuts when people come on here saying "oh, life's not fair, I have to pay taxes". Doesn't anybody think of anything but themselves anymore? It's insane...
I'm done ranting.
