Realistically, this is an open forum, and you really can't stop somebody from answering your question. I've watched askers get livid over it. (One question asker in particular had asked a "Non-Christians Only" question, and was chewing out a Christian who dared answer her in the additional comments section.)

Yeah. I especially hate when people post questions titled "Christians only" or "Atheists only" -- and then go on to harass the group that was told they couldn't respond. If you're going to insult a particular group, at least give them a chance to speak. But it's always pointless, because you're not going to stop people from answering any question they want.

humorous how that double prevalent works, isn't it? I have been given accused of that very factor - "you're taking the bible out of context." - on the 1st actual question I asked with this account, the place I in comparison passages that for sure contradicted one yet another. So I double checked, just to make specific. What context? there replaced into no context i replaced into taking issues out of; in basic terms a set of stuff that contradicted a set of alternative stuff that Christians quote for all time on a stand on my own foundation and assume me to swallow as infallible. in spite of. i've got got here upon which you're making greater progression returned and returned slamming your head against a concrete wall than attempting to get by way of to those that desperately could believe in the bible that it in basic terms does not make any experience.

Actually, if you direct your question to a specific person or group of people, you are violating the community guidelines chatting and personal communications rules. I kid you not...I learned this in the Answers main forum. I know for a fact that it's enforced...I once asked a question directed to Muslims about Ramadan and it was deleted in about two hours.
If I have a question for a specific religion, I will direct it to them but add that anyone is free to answer. It's the polite thing to do, and I value everyone's input. By doing so I have learned a lot, but I'm still occasionally issued a violation for it.
I do get tired of people who specify that they won't accept answers from anyone other than who the question is directed to. It's rude, narrow minded and ignorant. I usually make it a point to answer these questions, and not in a nice way.

What I'm tired of is the cliquishness, and how some of the posters go around here and just bash anybody, no matter what they believe. I've actually seen a Christian rip a fellow Christian a new one just because he didn't practice the same way the other one thought they should.

I posted one once that said "A question for atheists only" and put in the detail "How many of you answering are christians who just could not keep your noses out.?" It got no answers after 30 minutes so I took it back down.

People getting sick of others is a unique human behavior; it has nothing to do with atheists or Christians. It's quite normal.

Well, this does seem to be a subject that really "gets people going".
I see sparks fly on more than one board, I tell you....whether it is Christians together, Christians vs. other beliefs, or Pagan and pagan.

Yeah.
Really, if someone simply directs it to a certain group I have no problem with it. But if it includes the word "...ONLY!" or states that certain people are not allowed, then that is rude.

Let's practice tolerance. Argue w/ logic and proof; not w/ our livid tongues.
