Apply direct pressure to the cut, with a clean gauze or piece of material. Elevate the hand to above the level of the heart, continue to apply pressure. If needed, you can press the artery in the wrist to decrease the blood supply even further. Do not remove the bandage to check on the bleeding, add more material if it soaks through. Apply frozen or very cold items to the cut, while applying pressure and elevating the hand. If these things do not slow and stop the bleeding, you need to call an ambulance. If you are able to slow or stop it, you still need to seek attention in the Emergency room, as you may need stitches.

Not enough details, perhaps it's deeper than you think or you might have a clotting disorder. Are you on any meds, many have side affects that alter how fast your blood clots...if you've applied a firm pressure on it for at least 10 minutes and haven't disturbed the cloth but just added a new one on top as the other one soaked through, you have some issues which you can't deal with alone. Go to the ER or Emergent Care and have it checked out - better safe than sorry.

Since you have given no details, I can only tell you to see your doctor. Depending on the cause of the bleeding you could try using neosporine or A&D cream.

Go to the emergency room. Try putting your hand above your head, but if it won't stop bleeding you need stitches.
