Hello:
It all depends on the situation. I would want to know how long you have known each other, what kind of guy he is, etc.
Is this something your parents would approve of, or would you have to keep it a secret? In my opinion, keeping these kinds of secrets do not work out.
Typically I think that that age difference is too great, and also once a guy is 18 years old he is legally an adult while you are still a minor. He also might be more experienced than you, which could cause him to have unfair expectations of you.
But then again, he might be a great guy and you are perfect for eachother.

in case you didn't know that is called statutory rape and is against the law.
personally i don't think people at such a young age should be considering about dating.
many teens change their lives that way. Teen pregnancies which they never imagined could have happened.
Then when that happens they are no longer free to live out there dream because their new goal in life is to take care of another precious life which they helped create.
so i would say not just dating an 18 year old is wrong but dating at such a young age is too.
think about your education and your future whether you want a good life or not.
I'm 19 and those thoughts often run through my mind. if i ever find someone who will love me and wants to have kids with me. I want to be able to provide for them, and not show them that I was a screw up at a young age.

i had a 15 year old girlfriend once when i just turned 18, it was a complete and total disaster that has haunted me for over 30 years.

in societies view yes. but maybe your mature enough. then again if you have to ask a bunch of internet people a question like that, maybe you might wanna try someone on your level first.
