I have seen people do this a few times. They think that "No shirt, No shoes, No service, does'nt apply to them because their crap tattoo is really important. Tattoos have historically been consider 'low class" and I think this kind of behaviour confirms it.

I saw a woman take off her pants to show off a tattoo that went from her hip to her knee. We were in a nice Italian restaurant and everything. I was shocked and appalled.

I think you may be grouping everyone with a tattoo together to suit your low class opinion. There may be a few people who have done this but I assure you, they do not constitute the majority.
I've never seen such a display in a restaurant, however I have seen many obnoxious, boorish, uppity people who certainly would consider themselves above everyone else making a scene.

My tats can be covered when I need them to be covered. All my summer tanks show the one on my back off. If I wear a skirt, you would see me calf sleeve. If I got naked(or close to) you would see the one on my upper thigh. I have NEVER, EVER, lowered my drawers or pulled up my skirt to show that one off, anywhere!

If people want to show off their crap tattoos, let them. It's their right to do so. However, I do agree with you with respects to disrobing in a restaurant to show them off. That is tacky. Other than that, have a bowl of Raisin Bran and loosen up.

I resent that you liken me to low class just because I can show them off when I want to. If you don't like my tattoos, you shouldn't be looking at me in the first place....

People with or without tattoos can do some pretty outrageous things, but it's like being prejudice to say that only people with tattoos do such things. Tattoos aren't just for bikers or military anymore, they are considered a great form of art and are more widely acceptable.

i have tattoos and have never removed any clothing in a restaurant to show it off. both of my tattoos are in places that would require clothing removal. but people often ask to see my tattoos and if i am in a public place i will go to the bathroom to show them. i guess low class people like me have some kind of standards sometimes huh? nice to see that you aren't generalizing and stereotyping people in any way. whatever makes you feel better about yourself.

Okay I have tattos and am more than happy to show them but they are not in locoations that I would have to take my clothes off. I think that is a tad disrespectful to everyone else, to show off a tattoo in public if it involves nudity. But if its pulling up a sleeve or raising a pant leg thats different.

I happen to have 15 tattoos, and I am not low class, thank you.

Sometimes when I am dressed, you may still see my tattoos since some of them aren't always covered up.

Maybe you should lighten up a little bit. It's 2006, not 1906.
Tattoos aren't just for sailors and prostitutes anymore.

I saw a man drop his pants, at a nice steakhouse, after his friend said he wasn't a man. He was showing off a piece of his anatomy.
