You know, I don't know if this would help you or not but I have found that people who are depressed sometimes feel better by volunteering at a shelter, hospital, etc. Helping those who are less fortunate than you makes you feel grateful for what you have and also gives you a sense of purpose and meaning in your life. Also reading the Bible and praying couldn't hurt. It is all worth a try. What do you have to lose? You only have one life and you don't want to throw it down the drain. You are important and have a reason for being on this earth. When you have suicidal thoughts you must not dwell on them. I know this is easy for us to say and we aren't living with your pain, but you have to keep trying. Do whatever it takes. Also if the meds aren't working, keep trying different meds and if needed different docs. I know you have been doing it for 15 years but this is your life we are talking about. Do it for 50 if you have to! Good luck and God Bless.

I know exactly what you feel. I have been on so many meds i lost count a long time ago. Right now i take 6 different meds a day to help keep me in this world. I was diagnosed with depression a few years ago and started down the med trail. one would work for a while then fail so i would try another one--just when i started feeling pretty good, i would go back down. I have been hospitalized a few times on suicide watch because i could see no other way out. Then i would thinkof my husband and kids going to my funeral. I would think of my parents crying. this usually helped put me back into reality. there are a lot (about 65,000) web sites for suicide. there are memoril sites that show all these beautiful kids who are all dead by suicide. Just seeing these helped me realize this is not what i want. Another thisn that helps is therapy. For it to work you need to find a therapist that you click with and you need to want to get better. it won't happen by itself--you will have to work hard at it. I wish you the best of luck at this difficult time in your life.

Find someone to talk to,someone that cares about you, and it doesn't matter what you say to them their still there, even if they don't understand...Alls I can say is some people try everything and nothing seems to work, I understand where your coming from, and I hope this passes this time, but if not there are people who do understand that there's nothing left and maybe there are better things beyond...No that you are loved and cared about whatever your decision...If you wanna talk I'm here...

Maybe it's the meds that are making you feel this way....do you have someone who can sit with you tonight?

say to yourself. God,grant me the serenity to except the things I can not change, the strength to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Over and Over until it makes sense.

i was thinking about it, recently, and im quite young. i read this note my friend had sent me, it said that she loves me no matter what. i had confided in her that i was cutting myself, and she was afriad for me, but didn't show it, but i knew her too well. i would like for you to think of what you'd be missing, who'd be missing you, and if you'd confinded to anybody of you're feelings, of their feelings at your funeral. think about growing old, seeing you're kids lives, or grandkids lives as they grow up, as they figure them selves out.
