Well the shyness is normal but you have to think past it...
How can you "design" an approach w/o being aggressive?
Try the "purse in hand concept"...
Traditionally babes can out think guys...
So the answer is to throw out your own shyness and plot to keep your man friend in your gun sights...
1 the good idea girl
2 the damsel in distress
3 the dropped item
4 the meeting
etc etc
out think him ...simple as that

no guy is shy to ask a girl out...but lets assume that he is ...give small hints...call him once..if he doesnt call u for no reason in the next couple of days forget it...or stand and talk to him in person if u dont have his number also hif he doesnt make the next move dont say he is shy he is just not interested

Get an intermediary. A friend or acquaintance to both of you. Have them ask you both out for the other. It would be best if you could ask him yourself, but I know how shyness is, it's just too scary to do. It's good to have a friend help you out with it.
