well I dont think it matters, my hubby was 23 when we got together { i was 39} we been together for 17 years, married for 13, got 2 great girls , 15, & 16. good luck , why does everyone worry about age gaps?, you only live once !!!! love & enjoy !!

No gap is too big, go for it! I'm 23 and dating a girl who's 30. I know, it sounds like a toy-boy idea, but it's serious and we have a great relationship. Sometimes the age becomes a problem, sometimes not, you'll never know before you try.

If the two people get on and enjoy each others company does it matter what the age difference is, five years is not a lot anyway. Enjoy what you have together and forget about the age difference that is just a number.

That is actually quite a reasonable thing. There is a stereotype about maturity that simply does not ring true on all individuals, and if the 23y/o female is mature enough to handle things there should be not particularly unusual problems.

the gap isnt big but a 18 year old dosnt know **** about nothing yet... try to get a guy atleast 21 so al least you can have a drink togther and not be breaking the law

no, it's not a big difference. as long as the 18 year old boy doesn't act like he's 5 like most boys..(and men) do:)
