Jesus is our older spirit brother(we believe that everyone, with out exceptions, are sons and daughters of God)(good example of Jesus being our older spirit brother can be found in Revelations 3:14 where he says that he is the beginning of the creation of God), Satan(also known as Lucifer or the Son of the Morning) was also a spirit child of God(read Isaiah 14:12-15 also read Luke 10:18) who because of his pride and his own ambitions, sought to over throw the throne of God and take it for himself, causing him and his followers to be cast from heaven. Also, Revelations Chapter 12, thats a great chapter that talks about how 1/3 of the inhabitants of heaven were cast down to the earth with Satan.
In light of a question that was emailed to me, here are some more referances to the scriptures and a question posed at the bottom....
Num. 16:22, Ecc. 12:7, Isa. 42:5, Acts 17:29, Heb. 12:9
Those scriptures talk about how we are spirit children of God. Where did we reside before? Heaven. Who resides in heaven? The spirit children of God. Who got expelled from heaven(according to Revelations 12:4,7-8, Isa. 14:12, Luke 10:18)? Satan(Lucifer). How was Lucifer created and how did he get into heaven(I dont think you can "pull the wool" over God's eyes and trick Him into letting something evil reside in heaven. Something could start good and then go bad....getting expelled.....)
Oh, also, as read in Rev. 3:14, it talks about the great Amen(Jesus Christ) being the First(hence, Jesus is our spiritual older brother)of the creations of God(why would the bible talk about the great Amen and then in the same sentance say that the Amen is the first creation of God if they are both the same person). LDS doctrine believes that God created ALL the spirits, Including Jesus and Lucifer and yours and mine and everyone elses, they also believe that Jesus helped God create the universe(not the spirits, that was God's job).

Yes, we believe in the Bible.
Are Jesus and Satan brothers? Yes, but not in the earthly and traditional sense since Jesus' mortal mother was Mary. The relationship between all of us, is spiritual, and certainly not meant to take away from Christ's role. Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. Lucifer, on the other hand, was cast out of Heaven and became a son of the morning.
What is some of the biblical support? Ephesian teaches that God is the Father of all (Eph. 4:6). We also know that we are all children of God (Romans 8:16) and therefore brothers, spiritually. This is why many faiths often refer to each other as Brother so and so. We further know that Christ is the Son of God (John 3:16). He also taught his disciples to pray, Our Father...(Matt 6:9). If you have read the account of Job, you know that Satan had a personal audience with God, not only being allowed in his presence, but to converse with Him and ultimately receive permission to test Job. There was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself (see Job 1:6 and 2:1). This should not come as a surprise since we learn from Christ in Luke that Satan fell from heaven and could only have been there as a creation of our Father in Heaven (Luke 10:18, Rev 12:7-9).
So, Satan was created by God, was in Heaven prior to be cast out, was allowed in God's presence on a day when the sons of God were permitted before him. Hence, you can see how we can take this position.
I hope that this helps.

Yes, we believe in the Bible. Patrick gives some good biblical scriptures. We also believe that there are additional scriptures besides the Bible and in these scriptures talk more specifically than the Bible does about the Council in Heaven and also about Jesus and Satan. Because God created both Jesus and Satan, that makes them brothers along with the rest of us.

To get a good sincere answer you need to listen to those that are part of the church and can answer you. I’m sorry to say that it seems others have ulterior motives and don’t know what the church is except for what they see outside. Several members have answered wonderfully already, let me add a couple things. First, know that we believe that God the father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are three different individual people. God has a perfect body, Jesus has a perfected body (from the resurrection in the bible), but the Holy Ghost remains a spirit. The bible does say they are “one”. Just as a team is one team with many individuals on it. God Jesus and the Holy Ghost are one in purpose just a team is. Also, God, as a creator, is the father of all spirits. This includes you, me, everyone that lived on this world, Jesus, and yes Lucifer. We are all spiritual brothers and sisters under our heavenly father, God.
As most know, the Bible talks about how Lucifer took 1/3 of the hosts of heaven with him when he was cast down. But when and how did this happen? Why did 1/3 of the spirits follow him? Through other writings, revelation, and just plain sense (look at previous answers); we know that before this world started that God had a council with ALL his children. This council was to decide how we were going to live our lives on earth. Lucifer had a plan; he knew that God loved all his children wanted them to return after their earthly life. His plan was to force everyone to do what is right. No free will; no happiness, sorrow, comfort, pain, health, sickness, and etc. But since he was going to make everyone return and do all the work, Lucifer wanted all the glory to himself. However, Jesus basically said, “thy will be done”, unfortunately not everyone will make it; but if we give them their free will, they can choice to come back or not. Jesus knowing, that everyone will sin in the process (of life) volunteered to be the savior to pay for those sins so everyone has a chance to return to God the father. But all the glory goes to God, not anyone else. All the children of God got to chose to follow Jesus or Lucifer. 1/3 of the entire host chose to follow Lucifer and was cast out. Since then he (and those with him), have been taunting us try to prove that they were right by making us fall.
Now you might say that we think we may become Gods; but that point is irrelevant. First, we know we can’t get there anytime soon. Second, we’re concerned about the here and now. Third, although we have standards like any other church, we don’t have any “lists” to follow on becoming a god. Right now, while on this earth our goals our live the best life possible, have a family, teach others of what we believe, and redeem the dead. We don’t communicate with the dead (ugh!). we help provide those that haven’t had a chance to accept Christ in this life to accept him later. For example, the Bible says that one must be baptized to be in his presence. But, what about the thousands who never had a chance to be baptized but were good people? We give them that chance.
I’m sorry I have no idea what KirstyCristy is getting at. Obviously she doesn’t know what we do or believe, nor does she offer what she bases her arguments. But I will say that (in addition to the above)…
Elohim is a reference (not an actual name) to God the father. It basically means all powerful in plural form. The real name of God is not known, it’s too sacred, and we don’t need to know it. And he is creator and spiritual father of all mankind.
Yahovah is a Son of Elohim, and conversely our spirit brother. But is translated to Jehovah in English. This is the name of Jesus before he came to earth as the son of God to be the Ultimate sacrifice to pay for all sins. He was much more then a “mere man”.
Michael is also the son of Elohim (not grandson), and also conversely our spirit brother. Michael was the name of Adam, before he became the first person on the earth.
When it comes down to it, we worship one God, our father; and pray directly to him. Whether or not there are other Gods, grandfather Gods, and so forth is irrelevant. That knowledge won’t get me closer to God.
I’m sorry, everyone is entitled to an opinion, and you need to find your own answer yourself. And people are entitled to discuss our beliefs. But, before anyone presents an argument to the contrary (KirstyCristy), they need to make sure the points they are arguing against are accurate. I find that true with most of the anti-sentiment towards use. They argue against points that don’t exist. Well good luck.

Don't begin to buy into the Mormon beliefs - although they call themselves Christians - they have beliefs that are opposed to the fundamental beliefs of Christianity.
Jesus and Satan spirit brothers? That's a new one... they also believe Christ was a man like you and me ( a human mother and father) - that by doing enough of certain things they can become "gods" - note small "g", They also believe marriages last beyond this life, that their sacred underwear protects them, they have 'Revised" their book hundreds of times and have edited the Bible to fit their beliefs.
Yea, they need to get back to you.
They are a cult, nice people, but a cult. Be wary and do not buy in.

Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith said, "The best way to obtain truth and wisdom is not to ask from books, but to go to God in prayer, and obtain divine teaching."
This is why the Mormons rely on their demonic revelations from the dead, Joseph Smith's divination and his false translations of real and imaginary ancient text, and not the Word of God, the Bible.
LDS View of God Contradicts the Bible
http://www.utlm.org/onlineresources/ldsviewcontradictsbible.htm
The doctrine that God is the father of Satan, Jesus and Satan are brothers, and Satan is the Mormons' brother is not in the Bible. The Mormon doctrine that we are all the children of God including Satan is not in the Bible.
John
8:42 - 44
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
The Pharisees Jesus is talking to, like the Mormons, are noted for strict observance of rites and ceremonies of the written law and for insistence on the validity of their own oral traditions concerning the law.
The Bible teaches that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and that God adopts His redeemed children:
Ro 8:15
Ro 8:23
Ro 9:4
Ga 4:5
Eph 1:5
The Mormon god is not God the Creator, The Mormon god never had the power to create the spirit of man, or the world, he can only "organize matter" (see link below).
The Mormons deny the Biblical Lord God is One God and His name is Father Son and Holy Spirit. The Mormon believe the doctrine of plurality of Gods (see link below). Joseph Smith got this revelation from the papyrus he claims to have translated into the Book of Abraham which in fact is a false translation of Egyptian funeral text.
Brigham Young:
"It is true that the earth was ORGANIZED by three distinct characters, namely, Eloheim, Yahovah, and Michael" (Journal of Discourses 1:51, 9 April 1852).
Elohim = Father of Yahovah (Grandpa God, not God the Father as presently taught, had Physical Body at the creation)
Yahovah = Son of Elohim and Father of Michael/Adam (Not Jesus Christ as presently taught, had Physical Body at the creation)
Michael = Grandson of Elohim = Adam = God the Father = Father of Jesus Christ (had Physical Body at the creation)
Outline Relating to the LDS Temple Endowment and the Teachings of Brigham Young Creations Gods:
On 8-9 March 1842 Joseph Smith worked on his Book of Abraham, "and they ORGANIZED and formed, (that is, the Gods,) the heavens and the earth" (Times and Seasons 3 [15 March 1842]:720, words rearranged in Abraham 4:1). Who or how many Gods were involved is not known for sure. In the Nauvoo temple endowment as organized by Brigham Young the Gods were identified as three in number, that is, Eloheem [Elohim], Jehovah [also spelled Yahovah] and Michael. Michael had been previously identified by Joseph Smith as "Adam, the father of all, the prince of all, the ancient of days" (LDS D&C 27:11, added to early text in 1835).
