Well I am 10 going on 11 so I would just say "Mom,I am in a band and it is not called The Cheetah Girls." And then see what she will respond with!

The only way is saying hey mom and dad i'm in a band. Then go from there. Hiding it is not the way to do it. For all you know they may approve and support you.

they should b proud that ur playing an instrument or that u have musical talents... also remind them that u r not doing drugs or anything like that
